Friends and family gathered to honor the legacy and impact of former UTA President Wendell Nedderman on Saturday at his funeral service at First Christian Church of Arlington.

Nedderman served as president of UTA from 1972 to 1992, continuing to teach engineering courses part time after his retirement. He is known for installing pedestrian bridges above Cooper Street, dismantling the university football team and the introduction of many new schools and degree programs.
