The seventh annual South Street Art Festival is coming back to town this weekend.
Located on South Street, behind J. Gilligan’s Bar and Grill, the festivities will start Friday afternoon and will feature a variety of artists from all over the country, said Steve Moya, festival owner and promoter.
From ceramic pottery to wood turning, the festival will consist of 14 different art categories, according to the South Street Art Festival website.
Saturday an event called “The Big Ink Steamroller” will take place between South and Abram streets. Fifteen artists, including some from UTA, will do ink pressings, which will be rolled over by a steamroller and pressed onto paper.
“The idea was to incorporate the construction that’s happening on Abram Street with artwork,” Moya said.
