Senior Justin Domangue was named Sun Belt Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week on Wednesday.

Domangue’s first place performance at the Gerald Richey Invitational earned him the weekly honor for the second time in his career. He posted a time of 14:51 to lead the Mavericks to a top-three finish at the event.

Saturday’s result gave Domangue two consecutive first place finishes. He also placed first at the Ken Garland Invitational with a time of 20:12.

The cross-country team returns to competition on Oct. 5 for the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
